CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY:

A-LUBGEL Eye Drops contains Sodium Hyaluronate, a natural polymer which is also present in structures of the human eye. The special physical characteristics of Sodium Hyaluronate mean A-LUBGEL has importan viscoelastic properties. A-LUBGEL provides a stable coating on the surface of the eye thus allowing, for its lubricating and hydrating properties, a very low resistance to movement such as blinking and assuring protection during the healing processes of corneal epithelium. A-LUBGEL therefore combines long lasting relief with maximum comfort. A-LUBGEL is preservative-free and has excellent tolerability.

INDICATIONS AND USAGE:

A-LUBGEL Eye Drops for the relief of burning, irritation and discomfort due to dryness of the eye due to exposure to dust, smoke, air conditioning, extended computer use or contact lens wear. May also be used as protectant against further irritation. Relieves dryness and provides soothing, refreshing and cooling effects.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

A-LUBGEL Eye Drops is Sterile ophthalmic solution is contraindicated in those individuals who are hypersensitive to any of its components.

WARNINGS :

● Do not use if the container is damaged.
● Do not use in presence of quaternary ammonium salts.
● Do not use if you are sensitive to any of the product components.
● Do not use after the expiry date reported on the bottle and on the external package.
● Do not touch the eye with the tip of the bottle.
● Leave at least 10-15 minutes between administration of any other ophthalmic drugs for external use.
● Do not use with contact lenses.

CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY:

Povidone iodine is a kind of iodine disinfectant which directly cause in vivo protein denaturation, precipitation of bacteria, and further resulting in the death of pathogenic microorganisms. Therefore, it is effective in disinfection and sterilization. It can kill viruses, bacteria, spores, fungi, and protozoa with low toxicity to human. Povidone-iodineaqueous solution has strong pharmacological activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, syphilis, hepatitis B virus, HIV, and Trichomonas vaginalis. Povidone iodine gel is a gynecological topical semi-mobile colloidal agent made by povidone iodine and hydrophilic matrix. It is a system for maintaining its sustained release. Owing to the continuous release of free iodine, it can enable the skin and mucous membranes to maintain a certain effective concentration of iodine for killing bacteria. It is mainly used for gynecological vaginal infection. It exerted its effect through being miscible with vaginal secretions and further killing the inside pathogenic microorganisms, and thus blocking the spread of sexually transmitted diseases and invasion, as well as treating other infected vaginal diseases caused by other kinds of bacteria. Published reports on the in vitro antimicrobial efficacy of iodophors demonstrate that iodophors are bactericidal, mycobactericidal, and virucidal but can require prolonged contact times to kill certain fungi and bacterial spores. Three brands of povidone-iodinesolution have demonstrated more rapid kill (seconds to minutes) of S. aureus and M. chelonae at a 1:100 dilution than did the stock solution. The virucidal activity of 75 150 ppm available iodine was demonstrated against seven viruses. Other investigators have questioned the efficacy of iodophors against poliovirus in the presence of organic matter and rotavirus in distilled or tapwater. Manufacturers' data demonstrate that commercial iodophors are not sporicidal, but they are tuberculocidal, fungicidal, virucidal, and bactericidal at their recommended use-dilution.

INDICATIONS AND USAGE:

This medication is used to relieve dry, irritated eyes. The dose depends upon the need for lubrication. Usually 1-2 drops should be administrated into each eye three times daily, or as directed by your doctor. People who wear soft contact lenses should remove their lenses before putting in the drops and wait at least 15 minutes before re-inserting their lenses.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

Hypersensitivity to any of preparation ingredient.

WARNINGS:

ADVERSE REACTIONS

Vision may be temporarily blurred when this product is ﬁrst used. Also, minor burning / stinging/ irritation may temporarily occur. If any of these effects last or get worse, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

Art-FORTE / 5mL (Hypromellose, Glycerin & Dextran 70 Ophthalmic Solution) is available in form of eye drops. Eye drops: Wash your hands thoroughly with water before and after use. Take the prescribed amount of dose with the dropper and squeeze out a drop without touching the eye. Wipe any excess liquid with a tissue. Do not wipe or rinse the dropper tip after use. Place the dropper back on the bottle and tighten the cap. Note: Do not touch the tip of the dropper as it may contaminate the contents. Do not place the tip directly into the eye while instilling the drop. If the dropper touches the eye, immediately squeeze two to three drops onto the tissue and wipe the dropper’s tip with saltwater. Discard any unused medicine after completing the course of therapy or within 4 weeks after opening the bottle

Cyclosporine is a fine white powder. Cylopro Eye Drops (Cyclosporine Ophthalmic Emulsion 0.05%w/v) appears as a white opaque to slightly translucent homogeneous emulsion. It has an osmolality of not less then 300 mOsmol/kg and a pH of 6.5-8.0.

INDICATIONS AND USAGE

Cylopro Eye Drops (Cyclosporine Ophthalmic Emulsion 0.05% w/v) is a topical immuno modulator indicated to increase tear production in patients whose tear production is presumed to be suppressed due to ocular inflammation associated with keratoconjunctivitis sicca. Increased tear production was not seen in patients currently taking topical anti- inflammatory drugs or using punctal plugs

CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY

Mechanism of Action
Cyclosporine is an immunosuppressive agent when administered systemically. In patients whose tear production is presumed to be suppressed due to ocular inflammation associated with keratoconjunctivitis sicca, cyclosporine emulsion is thought to act as a partial immunomodulator. The exact mechanism of action is not known.

Pharmacokinetics
‍Blood cyclosporine A concentrations were measured using a specific high pressure liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry assay. Blood concentrations of cyclosporine, in all the samples collected, after topical administration of Cylopro Eye Drops (Cyclosporine Ophthalmic Emulsion 0.05% w/v), twice daily, in humans for up to 12 months, were below the quantitation limit of 0.1 ng/mL. There was no detectable drug accumulation in blood during 12 months of treatment with Cylopro Eye Drops (Cyclosporine Ophthalmic Emulsion 0.05%w/v).

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Cylopro Eye Drops (Cyclosporine Ophthalmic Emulsion 0.05% w/v) is contraindicated in patients with known or suspected hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients in the formulation.

Potential for Eye Injury and Contamination To avoid the potential for eye injury and contamination, be careful not to touch the vial tip to your eye or other surfaces.

Nursing Mothers
Cyclosporine is known to be excreted in human milk following systemic administration but excretion in human milk after topical treatment has not been investigated. Although blood concentrations are undetectable after topical administration of Cylopro Eye Drops (Cyclosporine Ophthalmic Emulsion0.05% w/v) caution should be exercised when Cylopro Eye Drops (Cyclosporine Ophthalmic Emulsion 0.05% w/v)is administered to a nursing woman.

Pediatric Use
The safety and efficacy of Cylopro Eye Drops (Cyclosporine Ophthalmic Emulsion 0.05% w/v) have not been established in pediatric patients below the age of 16.

Geriatric Use
No overall difference in safety or effectiveness has been observed between elderly and younger patients.

Use with Contact Lenses
Cylopro Eye Drops (Cyclosporine Ophthalmic Emulsion 0.05% w/v) should not be administered while wearing contact lenses. Patients with decreased tear production typically should not wear contact lenses. If contact lenses are worn, they should be removed prior to the administration of the emulsion. Lenses may be reinserted 15 minutes following administration of Cylopro Eye Drops (Cyclosporine Ophthalmic Emulsion 0.05% w/v).

ADVERSE REACTIONS

Because clinical trials are conducted under widely varying conditions, adverse reaction rates observed in the clinical trials of a drug cannot be directly compared to rates in the clinical trials of another drug and may not reflect the rates observed in practice. In clinical trials the most common adverse reaction following the use of Cylopro Eye Drops (Cyclosporine Ophthalmic Emulsion 0.05% w/v) was ocular burning (17%).Other reactions reported in 1% to 5% of patients included conjunctival hyperemia, discharge, epiphora, eye pain, foreign body sensation, pruritus, stinging, and visual disturbance (most often blurring).

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

Invert the unit dose vial a few times to obtain a uniform, white, opaque emulsion before using. Instill one drop of Cylopro Eye Drops (Cyclosporine Ophthalmic Emulsion 0.05% w/v) ophthalmic emulsion twice a day in each eye approximately 12 hours apart. Cylopro Eye Drops (Cyclosporine Ophthalmic Emulsion 0.05% w/v) can be used concomitantly with artificial tears, allowing a 15 minute interval between products. Discard vial immediately after use
